UAE-based Arabian Construction Company (ACC) has secured a contract worth SAR150m ($40m) from Emaar Middle East, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, to develop Emaar Square.
Emaar Square is a commercial project within the Jeddah Gate in Jeddah and, under the deal, ACC will construct three five storey office buildings.
The buildings will cover a total area of 45,000m² and will house offices ranging in size from 250m² to 400m².
In addition, the properties will feature exquisite office suites of between 500m² and 735m² with glass walls. The executive offices will be surrounded by a terrace for hosting special events.
Construction work on the project will start this summer and the first offices are expected to be completed by 2016.
Set around Crescent Plaza, a retail and lifestyle hub in Jeddah Gate, Emaar Square has been designed to meet the growing need for commercial real estate space in the Jeddah city.
Emaar International CEO Fred Durie said: "Emaar Square is one of the iconic developments within Jeddah Gate, which is now a full-fledged lifestyle community.
"The three dedicated office towers are designed to world-class standards and will offer an unmatched commercial destination in the heart of the city. Arabian Construction Company has a strong track record in undertaking large-scale projects and we are delighted to partner with the company to accomplish our new project as per the time schedule."
ACC Saudi Arabia branch manager Ziad Najjar said: "We have a huge amount of experience and a high degree of expertise in working on complex projects that have been designed to world-class standards."
ACC is currently handling several projects in Saudi Arabia, including phase three of the Jabal Omar development in Makkah, the SIBCO Mega Plant, the MIG Tower in Riyadh and the Al Othman Mosque in Al Kharj.
