Azmeel secures Abraj Al Hilal 2 construction contract in Jeddah Gate

Azmeel Contracting and Construction has secured a contract from Emaar Middle East, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, to build the Abraj Al Hilal 2 residential complex in Jeddah Gate, Saudi Arabia.

Azmeel Contracting and Construction has secured a contract from Emaar Middle East, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, to build the Abraj Al Hilal 2 residential complex in Jeddah Gate, Saudi Arabia.

Abraj Al Hillal 2 will be a three-tower residential complex of 17 to 21 floors, with 308 apartments ranging in size from 98m² to 449m².

The complex will also feature a retail area, health & fitness centre, a ladies spa, day car centre, clubhouse, outdoor swimming pools and 525 car parking spaces.

Emaar Middle East general manager Ahmad Al Kulli said that following the sales launch of Abraj Al Hilal 2, the company is now starting the construction work of the residential complex.

"Designed by international architects, Abraj Al Hilal 2 brings a new lifestyle experience to the Jeddah Gate community, and we are developing it to highest global standards we adhere to across all our developments," Al Kulli said.

Work on the project is expected to start in May 2013 and complete in the first quarter of 2016.

Abraj Al Hillal 2 is one of several schemes being constructed at Jeddah Gate, which is a 400,000m² plot of land at Jeddah’s new downtown, close to the new high-speed rail station connecting the city to Makkah and Madinah after completion.

After completion Jeddah Gate project will offer 230,000m² of office space and over 75,000m² of retail space.

Emaar Middle East has already handed over the homes in the Abraj Al Hilal 1 development in Jeddah Gate.
