Property and lifestyle development firm Bloom Properties has started construction work on its Abu Dhabi Marina project in Al Bateen, UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Marina will comprise an area of 149,719m² with 225 residential apartments, a five-star hotel with 200 hotel rooms and 57 executive serviced apartments, 3,000m² of premium waterfront retail space and 849 parking spaces.
Bloom Properties selected UAE-based Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) for Abu Dhabi Marina's enabling work.
ASGC CEO Bishoy Azmy said that the company is pleased to execute this project in a prime location in Abu Dhabi.
"ASGC has a track record for delivering up-scale hospitality projects and we anticipate further opportunities for collaboration as the booming real estate market spurs further growth in the tourism sector," Azmy said.
Bloom Properties said that, with real estate prospects soaring in the emirate, the company will play an important role in the development of the real estate market in Abu Dhabi.
"The rapidly developing sector will play an increasingly important role in the economic development of the country," the company added.
Bloom Properties is a subsidiary of National Holding and has a portfolio of residential and commercial towers, retail and leisure centres, and gated residential communities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai.
Bloom is also involved in other projects in Iraq and Algeria. The company plans to create new brands and projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and other emerging markets.
