Broadway Malyan has won a brief to design and support the delivery of the World Trade Center Danang, a 9ha mixed-used development in Vietnam, on behalf of real estate developer VinaCapital Commercial Center.
Broadway will provide a range of architectural, landscape and graphic design services for the project.
Broadway Malyan has also released the design of a 46,600m² retail building to be constructed as part of scheme, which will be the first shopping centre in Vietnam to house a department store.
The World Trade Center Danang development is located on a site facing the Han River and the scheme is expected to give a boost to new development on the west bank of the river.
The project will feature residential space, including apartment towers, a hotel or serviced apartment complex, a retail mall and other commercial spaces.
Plans also include public open space within the development site to connect 17,000m² of riverside boardwalk, which will be upgraded as part of the overall development.
In early 2008, the project broke ground with the construction of the luxury 32-storey and 225-apartment residential tower, Azura, which topped out in late 2011.
Work on the retail, commercial and residential spaces, as well as the hotels, is currently underway.
