Real estate firm Chance Partners has started construction on Green Bear Lofts, a luxury apartment community project in Tuscaloosa, US.
Located at the north-east intersection of Greensboro Avenue and Bryant Drive, the project will feature 53 residences, 115 beds and 3,985ft² of street-level retail space.
Upon completion, Green Bear Lofts will house one, two and three-bedroom loft and townhome style units featuring dens in most of the units.
Green Bear Lofts will also include various amenities that include on-site parking, a clubroom, a lush pocket park with water features, gourmet kitchens, living areas, storage space and on-site management.
The Preston Partnership is serving as the architect for the project and APEX Construction Services is the general contractor.
Walker & Associates is the serving as civil engineer for the project while Asset Campus Housing will act as property manager of the community.
Chance Partners president and CEO Judd Bobilin said that in less than six-months, Green Bear Lofts will bring new residents and additional retail amenities to further enhance the vibrancy of downtown Tuscaloosa.
"Downtown is moving quickly toward what so many in Tuscaloosa have envisioned: a vibrant environment where you can truly live, work and play," Judd Bobilin said.
Green Bear Lofts is the third development for Chance Partners in the US apart from the Townhomes at Metal Works, a 5-unit community situated on 21st Avenue, and Boulevard Lofts, a 20-unit community located on University Boulevard across from City Hall.
Chance Partners said Boulevard Lofts is currently more than 97% leased and 100% pre-leased for August 2013 move-ins.
Earlier in February 2013, Chance Partners started construction on Avenues on 61st, a 32-unit, 128-bed community in Savannah, Georgia, in the US.
