Dewan Architects & Engineers has secured a contract from Arab Resort Areas Company (ARAC) to design and construct a hotel and hotel apartments in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The hotel will feature 200 rooms and 120 apartments, four dining venues, a 600 seat banquet hall, a business centre and meeting rooms to host conferences, banquets, and exhibitions.
It will also feature a gym and spa, kids club, indoor swimming pool, retail shops, hairdressing as well as a number of coffee shops.
The hotel will be built along the Prince Turki Highway, near to Dammam’s First Industrial City and Dammam International Airport.
Design of the hotel will focus on contemporary and functional design parameters with an emphasis on light and visually engaging spaces and areas, Dewan Architects said.
Dewan executive director, Ammar Al Assam, said: "The economy of Saudi Arabia is developing rapidly and there is a great demand for luxury leisure destinations within the Kingdom."
Recently Dewan Architects had completed the Premier Inn Hotel featuring 242 rooms at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Dewan Architects’ works in the UAE region includes the Abu Dhabi Vicreoy Yas Hotel, the Dijbouti Kempinski and the Fairmount Resort in Abu Dhabi.
In June 2012, Dewan Architects had secured a contract to design and supervise construction of 27 storey Al-Abdulkarim Tower in Dammam which will be the headquarters of Al-Abdulkarim Holding.
