Dubai-based developer Emaar Properties has opened a new observation deck, At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY, which stands 555m from the ground, in Dubai.
The viewing platform has clinched the Guinness World Records title for being the highest observation deck in the world.
Previously, the Canton Tower in Guangzhou, China, held the record with its deck standing at a height of 488m.
Emaar Properties said in a statement: "Here, visitors can soak up unmatched views of the city and beyond, and feel the exhilarating air from an outdoor terrace and relax in a premium lounge."
Emaar Properties property management executive director Ahmad Al Falasi said: "At the Top is today one of the world's most compelling tourist attractions.
"With the introduction of SKY, we are scaling-up the entire journey to Burj Khalifa by offering a truly premium experience that will be a lifetime's memory for every visitor."
The observation deck at level 148 will offer guests a premium lounge with five-star hospitality services. It will also feature an interactive life-size screen displaying Dubai's iconic destinations and a retail boutique offering premium souvenirs.
At level 125, the observation deck is designed to showcase the Arab arts and culture and will provide a 360° view of the city. It will also feature a Masharabiya motif as part of the decor's central theme and Dubai - A Falcon's Eye View.
