Emaar Properties is planning to construct a new 63-storey hotel in Dubai, UAE, near Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
The 340m hotel, named The Address The BLVD, will comprise 200 rooms and 542 serviced apartments close to the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
Managed by Emaar’s Address chain, the hotel will feature studios, and one, two, three and four-bedroom serviced apartments.
Emaar Properties managing director Ahmad Al Matrooshi said, "With the Address hotels in Dubai recording average 85 to 90% occupancy throughout the year, The Address The BLVD will further complement the city’s hospitality sector growth."
The Address The BLVD’s serviced residences will offer views of The Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa.
The hotel will also provide direct access to The Dubai Mall through a new air-conditioned bridge link, in addition to access to The Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa metro station.
Emaar will fund the construction mainly through pre-sales of serviced apartments.
Construction will start soon and is scheduled for completion in early to mid-2015.
Upon completion, the building will be the second tallest structure in Dubai, after the Burj Khalifa.
The hotel will be the sixth The Address Hotel in Emaar’s portfolio and marks the company’s third project in 2012.
Earlier in 2012, Emaar launched ‘Panorama at The Views’ residential project in Dubai and Alma 2 at its Arabian Ranches development.
