KONE has secured a contract from Sapir Organization and CIM Group to modernise 28 elevators and install two new elevators and four escalators at 11 Madison Avenue.
Located in Midtown Manhattan, US, the 30-storey office building overlooks Madison Square Park.
Under the terms of the contract, KONE will work with New York's general contractor Structure Tone and Cushman and Wakefield, which manages the property.
Sapir Organization Development and Operations executive vice-president Mike DeJohn said: "KONE is a terrific partner in our efforts to modernise the 11 Madison Avenue property.
"With their focus on innovative elevators and improving the efficiency of how people move throughout the property, we're confident this project will create a positive experience for our corporate customers for years to come."
The solutions offered by KONE will include KONE TravelMaster 110 escalators and the elevator modernisation solution, KONE ReVolution.
As part of the modernisation process, KONE will replace the old, gearless machines of the elevators with the energy-efficient KONE EcoDisc hoisting machine technology.
The elevator upgrades will also include regenerative drive systems and ReSolve control solutions of KONE.
In order to improve people flow, KONE Polaris destination control system (DCS) will also be installed at a critical elevator bank in the office building.
Technology will be used for forecasting building's traffic flows leveraging artificial intelligence.
KONE Americas executive vice-president Larry Wash said: "We are excited to offer some of our most innovative products that will efficiently deliver people to their desired locations with the use of great quality KONE products and cutting-edge technology."
