The Tower, One St George Wharf, has been completed on the bank of the river Thames in Nine Elms, London, UK.
The Tower was designed by architectural firm Broadway Malyan and built by contractor Brookfield Multiplex. The 50-storey building has 213 residential units, all of which have been sold.
The 320,000ft² building stands at just over 180m and features a gym, spa, swimming pool, a business lounge and sky gardens.
Broadway Malyan director Peter Vaughan said London needed to maintain its world city status and that Broadway Malyan had proposed an early idea for a tower at London Bridge, which paved the way for the Shard.
"Without that initial idea, The Shard might not have been built and the regeneration of London Bridge Quarter may not have been realised," Vaughan said.
"Similarly, our team had the idea for a landmark tower at Vauxhall and has now delivered The Tower. Again, it was visually the right place in London’s landscape for a tower and it promised to act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding neighbourhoods."
The £450m Shard was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and opened in July 2012.
The 310m tower is situated on the south bank of the Thames and features 586,000ft² of office space, a hotel, restaurants and residential apartments and five storeys of public viewing space.
