France-based 3D visualisation RSI-studio has won the award for best commissioned architectural image at the 2013 CGarchitect 3D Awards.

The architectural project is an office building in Saussure Paris, designed by Hardel Lebihan Architectes.

The award recognises the best 3d images of 2012/2013 and is awarded annually by CGarchitect.

CGarchitect 3D Awards were started in 2004 to recognise best achievement in the field of architectural visualisation.

RSI-studio has worked with French and international architects such as MVRDV, BIG, Dominique Perrault and Marc Barani on commissions for 3D images and architectural films.

The company said it develops a complex model of the scene where the images are created, including the architecture and its environment, the climate, materials and figures, as in a diorama.

The resolution of the images created will be similar to that of large-format photography in which the focal lengths are reduced and compositions are frontal.

RSI-studio also produces architectural films for competitions and real estate projects and the studio has recently produced imagery for MVRDV, BIG and Publicis Groupe agencies.
