UK-based integrated property services and project delivery firm Styles&Wood has won a contract worth £17.7m for refurbishment of Westminster House in Manchester.
Refurbishment for Aviva Investors will be undertaken by Styles&Wood’s project division.
Located on Portland Street, the 15,000m² building will need to be upgraded to Grade A standards of office accommodation and environmental performance.
Renovation works are expected to be completed within November 2016.
Scope of the contract includes refurbishment of the fabric and finishes inside the building, along with mechanical and electrical upgrades on a phased basis; however, it will be used by the existing tenant while the project continues.
Following completion of the scheme, which has been designed by BDP, WSP and Chapman BDSP, Aviva Investors will be looking for new tenants for around 9,000m² of the revamped space through their leasing agents, Savills and Cushman and Wakefield.
