Towell Construction has secured a construction contract from Oman's Saraya Bandar Jissah to build the first residential zone package, Zaha, in the country.
The development of Zaha residential zone is part of Saraya Bandar Jissah's $600m integrated tourism complex (ITC) project.
The ITC project will feature 398 residential units such as hilltop villas, townhouses and apartments that will be spread over five zones, including Wajd, Nameer, Zaha, Na'eem and Safa in Oman.
With an area of 62,641m², the Zaha zone package will include the construction of 14 units of three-bedroom detached villas, 29 units of three-bedroom semi-detached villas and 21 blocks, where each block will have four two-bedroom apartments and two three-bedroom duplexes.
In addition, the OMR21.5m ($55.8m) Zaha project calls for the construction of recreational facilities and two beachfront hotels, a resort hotel and a boutique hotel.
Towell Construction CEO Ivor Braganza said: "The package awarded to us will comprise constructing the residential units, the main park, different pocket parks between properties and associated landscape designed by international consultants to a very high standard."
The entire Zaha project will see a total of 169 properties ready for occupation by 2016, whereas the two hotels are scheduled to open in 2017.
