Vietnam-based Mai Linh Investment Corporation has commenced construction of a $157.5m mixed-use project in Liem District, Vietnam.

The 16,333m² development will consist of three 30-storey buildings housing around 1,000 luxury apartments, 20 penthouses and space for office and commercial use.

The project’s design is inspired by a lotus flower and is aimed at allowing more space, natural light and ventilation.

Korea-based Keangnam Enterprises will construct the project with an aim to reach completion by end of 2013.
