Construction has begun on the $340m San Bernardino Justice Center complex in California, US.
The 11-storey building has been designed by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
The complex will feature a three-storey section housing public service areas and a 60.9m-tall tower that will house the courtrooms and judicial areas.
The facility will include 35 courtrooms, two hearing rooms, judge’s chambers, office work areas and support spaces.
Construction is expected to be complete within two years.
