The City Council of Doraville, Georgia, US, has approved plans for the redevelopment of a derelict GM assembly plant.

Plans for the site, covering an area of over 667,000m², include a mixed-use development consisting of offices, condominiums, shops and parks.

The master plans for the site could either include a five-storey tall building or a high-density development with ten to 15 storeys.

The development is expected to create up to 20,000 jobs.
