UK-based developer Land Securities has approved plans for a £70m mixed-use scheme in Glasgow city centre, Scotland.

The project will involve the redevelopment of the 14,400m² Atlas site in Glasgow.

The development will include retail outlets, restaurant and 49 apartments.

Construction is slated to begin immediately with completion pencilled in for March 2013.

US-based apparel brand Forever 21 has signed a lease for a 5,574m² store in the new development.
