The US city of Chandler, Arizona, has completed construction of the new $47m Chandler City Hall, designed by US architectural firm SmithGroup.

The 12,800m² facility houses administrative offices, a public television studio, council chambers, an art gallery and public lobbies.

Plans also included a 330-space car park and surrounding site improvements.

The pedestrian-friendly campus includes the Vision Gallery, an art gallery that doubles as a community room.

The building includes a central breezeway, an extension of the central lobby that doubles as prime connector of the plaza.

The city hall is expected to receive LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.
