UK-based Make Architects has submitted revised plans for the Octopus, an office building near Chiswick Roundabout in London, UK.

The revised proposal for the tower includes a reduction in the number of advertising screens to three at ground level and one at motorway level, and an increase in accommodation to 6,700m².

Other changes include the reduction of building’s height by 3m and the addition of a 305m² retail showroom on the ground floor.

The building will also feature a viewing gallery and rooftop garden that will be open to the public.

The revised plans also include a new glazed grand entrance and relocation of the car park from the surface to the basement level.

The scheme includes several sustainable features including solar shading, borehole cooling and rainwater harvesting.

The previous proposal, submitted in March 2010, was rejected by Hounslow Council citing the safety of drivers on the elevated M4 motorway.
