The College of St Benedict has announced plans for the construction of a new $55m academic building on its campus in St Joseph, Minnesota.

The academic building will house the psychology, economics, computer science and mathematics departments.

The building has been designed by the faculties of the respective departments.

The new facility will feature a lecture hall with adaptive spaces and furnishings to serve multiple subjects and uses.

A green roof and use of natural light to control the building’s level of heat are amongst the sustainable features included in the design, as reported by sctimes.com.
