SEA and Elkiaer + Ebbeskov have won the Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities competition to design Pulsen, a new community centre in Denmark.
The approximately Kr62m ($12m) community centre will be built in the village of Balling in north-west Denmark.
Pulsen will act as a village within a village, connected to local resources in a series of new outdoor spaces, activities and a new running track integrated in the landscape.
This multifunctional centre combines a healthcare centre, sports centre, wellness centre and a culture house and learning centre, according to bustler.net.
The design of Pulsen will emphasise environmental sustainability, low energy consumption and environmentally friendly materials.
