Science Park Gets Green Light

The new 24ha Exeter Science Park in the UK has received planning permission from the local District Council.

The carbon neutral development is part of the Exeter and East Devon Growth Point and will offer 200,000m² of space for various enterprises.

UK practice Lda has been appointed to design the initial master plan as well as the outline planning application; the practice will also be the lead planning consultant.

The scheme will be developed by Devon County Council , East Devon District Council , Exeter City Council , THE MET OFFICE , the University of Exeter and the South West RDA.

Site clearance works are expected to begin next year and construction of the first buildings will begin in 2011.
