The London Development Agency (LDA) master plan for the Chard Regeneration Scheme in the UK has been approved by both local authorities in the area.

The proposal features the creation of a ‘green heart’ comprising green space around Holyrood School and a pedestrianised public town centre.

Future works involve the improvement of East Street as a gateway to the town centre with widened pavements and landscaping.

There will be another public consultation in 2010.
