The inclusive design strategy charted for the Olympic Park in London has received the Award for Equality and Diversity from the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

The design strategy was published by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) in September 2008.

The strategy sets out the plan to make the park the most accessible and inclusive park in London, according to builderandengineer.co.uk.

The park is expected to feature wide pathways with smooth surfaces, amenity seating and resting places making it accessible for wheelchairs.
