Residential developer Damac Properties has completed the raft foundation for its $300m Damac Tower in Beirut, Lebanon.
The main contractor, Man Enterprises, has finished the pouring of the raft which completes the foundation works.
The tower is situated in the marina area of the new Solidere development in Beirut overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The exterior of the 28-storey structure has been designed like flowing curves to emulate the nearby ocean waves.
Damac Tower will feature private apartment units with custom designed interiors, health and fitness facilities, a concierge reception as well as a main lobby.
The tower will also feature one, two, three and four bedroom apartments, terraces, parking on multiple levels and private storage spaces.
Developed in collaboration with Italian designer Versace Home, Damac Properties says the tower will be first Versace Home branded residential tower in the region.
Damac Properties managing director Ziad El Chaar said that the foundations are crucial for the structure and take time to complete.
"Work will now really begin to accelerate and customers will see an advanced level of construction from this point forward," El Chaar said.
In 2009, Damac joined forces with Versace Home to launch the company’s first retail outlet in the UAE at The Dubai Mall.
