A joint venture between Katz Group and WAM Development Group, Stantec and Edmonton Arena District, has unveiled designs of new 62-storey tower in Edmonton city, Canada.
Planned to be built at the corner of 102 Street and 103 Avenue, the 224m tower will be the tallest in Edmonton, surpassing the Epcor Tower (149m) and the Manulife Tower (146m).
Of the total 62 floors, 26 will be used for office space, while the remaining will house 320 residential suites.
WAM Development Group CEO and president Darren Durstling said: "This new building will revolutionise the downtown landscape in Edmonton and will set expectations for future buildings in the city.
"This tower is being designed, engineered and project managed entirely by Stantec, showcasing their vast capabilities and experience."
Stantec will serve as the major tenant of the building, leasing 450,000ft² of the total 600,000ft² of commercial space for 15 years. More than 1,700 Stantec employees will work in the building.
In addition, Stantec is also providing full architecture and engineering services for the tower.

Construction work on the building will begin in autumn this year and end by summer 2018.
