Swisspacer Celebrates Tenth Anniversary with a Growth Spurt
Leading warm edge supplier, Swisspacer, has celebrated its tenth anniversary. Since 1998, the specialist warm edge manufacturer has been supplying sealed unit manufacturers and window fabricators with the best performing warm edge spacer bar. As a result, Swisspacer’s customers have been able to manufacture top performing sealed units and windows, which achieve the highest standards. Window fabricators can use it to achieve the highest window energy ratings.
Earlier this year, independent research conducted by IFT Rosenheim, the leading independent European fenestration research and test facility, on behalf of the German Federal Flat Glass Association, Bundesverband Flachglas (BF), convincingly showed that when tested in wood, PVC-U, wood-aluminium composites and aluminium windows, Swisspacer had the best performance for psi thermal values out of all the leading warm edge spacer bars.
During the past ten years, Swisspacer has grown in popularity amongst window fabricators and sealed unit manufacturers who want to offer warm edge products without heavy investment in special sealed unit machinery. Companies in the UK who have benefited from the Swisspacer advantage include Glasgow-based Supaseal, Custom Glass of Merseyside and National Seal in Ireland. A flood of companies are turning to Swisspacer as they see its benefits over other spacer bars. Described as warm edge without tears, Swisspacer enables companies to have it all: the best performance for domestic and commercial projects, without the need for special machinery.
In the first six months of 2008, sales in the UK increased by 110%. Globally, they increased by 25%. To keep ahead of demand, Swisspacer has invested in new manufacturing facilities to increase capacity and is looking to extend capacity further in 2009.
Managing director, Matthias Meissner, says: “Our aim has always been the same – to provide our customers with a top performing spacer bar. Because we do achieve this, our sales are increasing strongly year-on-year. We forecast this trend will continue as more companies see the benefit of using Swisspacer.”
